Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb (Book Recommendation)

If The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham is the first completed book for 2013. This one is the first for 2014. Antifragile: Things that gain from disorder by Nassim Nicholas Taleb is truly a thought provoking book. Ever since I read The Black Swan, I believed that the extremistan truly ruled the world. This book exposed 3 sets of personality, the fragile, that breaks and fall upon encountering black swans. The robust that demonstrates resiliency when faced with black swans. And the antifragile that gains from black swans. The journey with the book revealed the pitfalls of large economies and corporations and the recommendations how to be antifragile. Few of my favorites includes the barbell strategy and the skin to the game concepts. Embrace uncertainty, randomness and error... It may just change our lives.

The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham (Book Recommendation)

The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham as my first read book for 2013 is a fusion of my interests in non fiction books and stocks. For the past 8 years of monitoring PSE, valuations were never been as high as the past year and early this year which should trigger better research and understanding "Mr. Market".Graham teaches strategies for both aggressive and defensive investors, balancing portfolio thru common stocks and bonds, cost averaging, reading and comparing financial statements which proves the comment of Warren Buffet "This is by far the best book on investing ever written."

Photo by  freestocks.org  on  Unsplash It's almost Christmas again, in fact it started last 2 months ago in the Philippines. The festivities will not be complete without some extra money, for us employees, which will be from our 13th month pay. So here are the list of things we can do with this pay. 1. Buy a new phone! I know you want that Iphone 11 and Samsung S10 with state of the art selfie camera quality and superb new features.  2. Fill up that coffee sticker to get a planner. That leather, suede and iconic siren is really irresistible! 3. Buy your wife/husband/partner a really nice gift. The smile on their faces would be priceless after receiving that gift. 4. Christmas shopping! Whether toys and clothes for our kids and godsons and daughter. Decorations and food for our home. 5. Book that vacation trip! Travel sale is just a few clicks away  6. New furniture for our house. That new sofa, dining table, or shoe rack is per...
